Talking things out helps. I have a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology from California, along with 30+ years of psychotherapy experience internationally (mostly with the United Nations). However, when I moved to Ontario a few years ago, I never applied for registration here. I have moved away from illness-based and diagnosis-oriented treatments. I do, however, offer all my experience in the form of counseling and advice*.
*These sessions are not to be considered 'psychotherapy' in the province of Ontario and are not covered under OHIP or otherwise considered medical services for your tax deductions etc.
