Called "Heaven on Earth", Leijay is a resort that has also been known as "a Writer's Retreat". It is located close to Galle which is an old Dutch/Portuguese walled city, with cobbled streets, on the Southern Coast of Sri Lanka. There are world-famous beaches along the coast, on both sides of Galle.
To retire in Sri Lanka was my dream from when I visited the place for the first time in my 20's. Leijay, I got, thinking of turning it into a Center for trainings and meditational retreats. While that has not happened (yet), the place remains open to all as a 20-room residential facility. Most of the villas are old colonial-style buildings with huge verandas to sit in and enjoy the abundant wildlife around and drink straight from the coconuts, fresh from the trees.
Other than individual visitors, the place is frequently used by groups that spend extended periods of time there. And the place is used for family retreats, including for my own family that loves the place as much as I do.

Mehergarh Center became a home for inner transformation for social activists. Nestled in the hills, close to Islamabad, it is known for its life-changing trainings and gatherings on a range of social issues that Pakistan faces today.
The isolated environment allows people to connect with each other on a heart level and turn inward in an almost spiritual setting. There is a main building used for the trainings and a round, 24-room, residential facility. The land around, for those tuned in to the vibrations that some places carry, has a peaceful energy that many have commented on over the years
True to its name, the Center has become a home of peace, love, and compassion for all who become part of its family.
